Similarity is the image-based recommendation of similar products of our Visualytics Software.
In contrast to text-based analyses, our similarity tool uses the artificial intelligence to obtain information directly from the image. This information is then enriched by the texts, resulting in a very complex basis for the similarity analysis.
Often recommendation engines show products that aren’t very similar due to the fact that the text informations delivered along with the images aren’t correct. Or because the translation of the text informations went wrong. Or because of the different understanding of the color shade of the product. Those are just a few examples the advantages of our image-based analysis.
That is you! The artificial intelligence chooses items that are similar, but it is actually you, that is in control. Using the controllers on the dashboard you can define what kind of similarity you with for this item. On the image to the right you can see two examples of those controllers.
The most common place to see similar products is the product detail page. However, much more than that is possible. For example, similar items can also be shown in campaigns on various pages in the store (shopping cart, reception page after logging in) and in email marketing.
